Authorities have released a gentle but significant update in the search for 7-month-old Emmanuel.

During a sweep of the area 500 meters south of the family’s home, police found a tiny blue sock lying quietly next to the riverbank. Soon after, a police dog searching the area led investigators a few meters further, where they discovered Emmanuel’s small bib — slightly damp, as if it had been there for some time.

Investigators say these items are being carefully collected and analyzed, but they stress that this does not yet answer the many questions surrounding what happened.

For the family, the discovery is bittersweet — heartbreaking because the belongings are so personal, but comforting in that they offer another clue in the ongoing search for answers.

Neighbors have placed flowers near the river, with one local saying softly, “It feels like Emmanuel is still here with us somehow.”

The investigation continues, with police urging the public to remain hopeful and report any small detail that could help bring closure.
