Investigators are now focusing on crucial evidence after two young siblings — a 6-year-old boy and his 3-year-old sister — were found dead in a hot car in Bexar County, Texas.

Authorities have confirmed that they are analyzing the car’s black box data and reviewing nearby surveillance footage to piece together the children’s final hours. According to sources close to the investigation, at the 2nd minute of the video, the children’s mother was seen approaching the car — but she appeared to be alone.

Officials have not confirmed whether the children were already inside the car at that time, and they have not publicly accused the mother of wrongdoing. She remains a “person of interest” as investigators continue to interview witnesses and collect evidence.

Sheriff Javier Salazar called the case “heartbreaking” and urged the public not to rush to judgment. “We are carefully reviewing every piece of evidence. Our goal is to find out exactly what happened,” he said.

Neighbors have placed flowers, candles, and stuffed animals near the scene as the community mourns the two children and demands answers.
