San Antonio, Texas – A heartbreaking update that has left the community in tears.
José Flores, a 16-year-old student at John Jay High School, has passed away after weeks of fighting for his life following a tragic accident when he was struck by a truck outside the school during lunch break.

The crash caused severe brain bleeding, and doctors had to remove part of his skull in hopes of saving him.
For weeks, hundreds of people across the San Antonio community prayed and waited for a miracle.

But today, that miracle didn’t come.
José’s mother, Christine, shared the words no parent should ever have to say:

“Today my son donated his organs. It was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make… but my sweet boy wanted to be a firefighter, so we realized this is what he would have wanted. I’ll never be the same. I just want my baby boy back.”

José’s dream was to save lives – and in the end, that’s exactly what he did.
Through organ donation, this brave young man is now giving the gift of life to others who desperately need it.

🙏 The entire community is mourning alongside Christine and her family.
“He left as a hero – just like he always wanted to be,” one classmate wrote.
