A local hunter in the outskirts of Ridgewood Forest made a shocking discovery early this morning while checking his usual hunting route. Hidden beneath a large oak tree, he noticed a black plastic bag partially covered by leaves and soil.

Curious, he approached — but the moment he opened it, he immediately stepped back and called the police. Inside the bag, authorities later confirmed, was the body of 29-year-old Kada Scott, who had been missing for several days.

According to preliminary police statements, Scott was still wearing a light-colored shirt, but a dark jacket — believed to be hers — was found folded separately inside the same bag. Forensic teams are now examining the jacket for trace evidence, including fibers, fingerprints, or chemical residues that could help determine where she was before her death.

Detectives are also investigating how the bag ended up in such a remote area, as there were no visible tire tracks or signs of recent human activity nearby. The hunter, who asked to remain anonymous, said, “I thought it was just trash someone dumped. But when I saw the fabric inside, I knew something wasn’t right.”

Police have since cordoned off the area and are treating it as a potential crime scene while awaiting the full autopsy report.
