RIGHT NOW: A massive police operation is underway in Texas as 20 officers are actively searching the home of the two drowned boys, 7-year-old Bowyn Miller and 4-year-old Banx McAmis, whose bodies were recently recovered from the Brazos River in Johnson County.
According to sources at the scene, investigators arrived early this morning with a search warrant, focusing on the family’s residence as part of a deeper probe into the boys’ mysterious deaths.
As soon as officers opened the bedroom door, they reportedly froze — inside, they found several children’s drawings, torn and scattered across the floor, along with what appeared to be a small notebook hidden beneath one of the beds. The notebook is now in police custody and is believed to contain handwritten messages that could help determine what happened in the hours before the tragedy.
Forensic experts and detectives are currently documenting every item inside the room, while the entire property has been sealed off with police tape. Officials say the search is “active and ongoing” and that early findings could “change the direction of the investigation.”
Authorities have not yet commented on the contents of the notebook but confirmed that all evidence will undergo forensic testing at the state crime lab.
More updates are expected later today as investigators continue to piece together what really happened to Bowyn and Banx.
