A heartbreaking tragedy has shaken the Long Beach community after a 3-year-old boy lost his life in a car collision on Saturday evening.
According to police, the child ran into the street near Artesia Boulevard and Rose Avenue around 6:30 p.m. when he was struck by a westbound vehicle. Despite immediate medical aid, he could not be saved.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated fully with investigators. Authorities confirmed there was no evidence of speeding, distraction, or impairment. At this time, no arrests have been made.
