HOT UPDATE: A new witness has just come forward in the ongoing disappearance of Gus Lamont, claiming to have seen a boy wearing the exact same shirt Gus was last seen in — at a small gas station 10 miles away from the original search area.

According to local reports, the witness, a 42-year-old clerk who works night shifts, said the boy appeared nervous and disoriented, entering the store alone around 2:17 a.m. He bought a bottle of water and left in a hurry, avoiding the security camera near the counter.

As soon as police received the tip, they rushed to the gas station, sealed off the area, and reviewed CCTV footage from that night. Investigators confirmed that a young boy matching Gus’s description does appear briefly on one of the outdoor cameras — though the image is blurry, the shirt pattern is said to be identical to the one Gus was wearing when he vanished.

Officers have since expanded their search perimeter to include the nearby forest line and an abandoned service road behind the gas station. A police spokesperson described the discovery as “the first solid lead in days,” adding that forensic teams are now collecting fingerprints and shoe impressions found near the back exit.

The footage has not yet been released publicly, but authorities say the timestamp and direction the boy walked off in could completely change the course of the investigation.
