In a heartfelt tribute, a star has officially been named after the only child still missing from the devastating July 4th flood at Camp Mystic in Texas. The star, visible to the naked eye on a clear night without binoculars, now bears the name Cile, ensuring her memory shines eternally across the night sky.

“Now, when we look up at the night sky each evening, find the coordinates and you will see Cile burning brightly,” said Daniel Chapin, founder of the Daniel Foundation. “We will not forget her, and with us, she will never truly be lost. As her star now burns forever, she will live on in the hearts and actions of Texans — and of a nation. Shine on, young girl.”

The gesture has brought comfort to many who continue to mourn the loss and uncertainty surrounding the flood tragedy. For family, friends, and the broader community, the star serves not only as a symbol of remembrance but also as a reminder of resilience and hope.

As Texans continue to recover from the disaster, Cile’s star will stand as a beacon, ensuring her spirit endures — glowing above, night after night.
