A 7-minute video recovered from the phone of the only surviving girl from Camp Mystic has just been officially released, and it’s leaving viewers across the country in tears.
The video, taken during the terrifying night of the Texas flood, captures raw and unfiltered moments inside the camp as chaos unfolded — but one frame in particular has struck a deep emotional chord. At minute 3:42, the camera briefly turns toward a girl huddled against a wall, soaking wet, her face scratched and visibly scared. That girl, authorities confirm, is the last missing victim, whose body still has not been found.
Viewers say the moment is impossible to forget.
“Her eyes were wide, like she knew she was in danger, but she tried to stay strong for the others,” one commenter wrote.
“Just seeing her in that moment… it broke me,” another said.
The footage also captures fragments of the group comforting one another, flashlights flickering, and distant screams drowned out by rising water. It's the only known video from inside the camp that night, and now it's being closely examined by investigators as well as trauma experts.
