The search for the last missing girl among the 27 believed to have vanished during the devastating Texas flood has just taken a chilling turn.
According to police, at 2:34 PM today, a K9 unit began barking uncontrollably while patrolling the dense brush along the riverbank 2 kilometers downstream from Camp Mystic. Moments later, rescue workers uncovered a mud-covered backpack — but what was inside has left investigators on edge.
The backpack was soaked, partially torn, and emitting a strong, foul odor. Inside, officers reportedly found:
