COLORADO – Investigators are piecing together the final moments of two experienced 25-year-old hunters whose bodies were recently recovered deep in the Colorado wilderness.
Authorities confirmed that both men were discovered after a massive search effort. As part of the investigation, police are now carefully examining the gear left behind — including their hunting rifles, clothing, and most recently, their backpacks.
When officers opened the backpacks, they reportedly found crucial evidence that could help explain what happened. Sources say the packs contained GPS devices still showing their last movements, partially eaten food, and several handwritten notes, one of which may provide a chilling clue about their final hours.
Detectives are treating the discovery as a significant breakthrough and are working to reconstruct the timeline leading up to the tragedy.
“This is a heartbreaking case for the entire community,” one investigator said. “Our goal is to bring answers to the families as quickly as possible.”
The cause of death has not yet been publicly confirmed. Authorities urge anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward with information.
