RIGHT NOW: A chilling scream was just heard coming from an abandoned house only 300 meters from the scene of Gus’ disappearance, sending investigators rushing to the location. Witnesses said the scream was “short but terrified,” as if someone tried to call for help before being suddenly silenced.
When police forced the door open, the inside of the house was completely dark, filled with a thick smell of damp wood and dust. But what shocked officers wasn’t the abandoned interior — it was what they found in the center of the living room:
A wooden chair lying on its side, a rope on the floor that looked as if it had been cut in a hurry, and beside the wall, a cloth stained with mud, the kind typically used to muffle someone’s mouth. On the peeling wall, police also noticed deep scratch marks, suggesting someone might have struggled or tried to escape before being taken away.
The most alarming detail: in the corner of the room, officers found a small children’s wristwatch, still ticking — the exact same model Gus was last seen wearing. However, investigators have not confirmed whether it actually belongs to him or if it’s a disturbing coincidence.
The entire house has now been sealed off. Police are analyzing fingerprints, the mud on the cloth, and the rope, while also considering the possibility that another person may have staged the scene to mislead the investigation.
