In a bombshell revelation that’s already rocking Hollywood and leaving fans reeling, Keanu Reeves has reportedly spent over two-thirds of his entire fortune — estimated at $315 million — to purchase a private island off the coast of the Pacific Northwest. And his reason for doing so? Marriage and a mission.
THE ISLAND: REMOTE, GUARDED, AND FULLY OFF-GRID
According to property records leaked late last night, Reeves acquired an uninhabited island roughly 90 miles from the Washington coastline under a private holding company named GRNT-2147 — a subtle nod insiders believe refers to Grant’s initials and a date of personal significance.
Satellite images now show construction underway on the island, including:
-
A minimalist chapel made entirely of volcanic stone
-
Solar-powered living quarters
-
A massive circular pavilion with no known function — yet
Sources close to the actor say this is not just a romantic escape — but a prototype for something much larger.
THE PLAN: A “VOW WITHOUT CAMERAS” AND A LEGACY PROJECT
One source familiar with Reeves’ team said:
“Keanu told a friend he wants a ‘sacred place to say yes — without the noise.’ He and Alexandra are writing their own ceremony, with no clergy, no guests, no media. Just them, the ocean, and what he calls ‘eternity.’”
But the most shocking part?
Reeves reportedly plans to open the island next year to terminally ill children, trauma survivors, and grieving families — free of charge — as part of a healing residency program backed entirely by his personal wealth.
WHAT MAKES THIS “UNPRECEDENTED IN AMERICA”
Unlike celebrity retreats or donations, Reeves is gifting full access to the land for therapeutic use, permanently. He’s also said to be in talks with eco-spiritual architects and grief counselors to turn the island into:
“A living sanctuary for people who don’t know where to go next.”
No actors, no cameras, no press allowed once it launches.
A registered nonprofit called Ecliptica (linked to the island's project name) has already filed paperwork in Oregon and Washington.
IS THE MARRIAGE ALREADY HAPPENING THERE?
While no public date has been set, paparazzi caught Alexandra boarding a chartered seaplane last Friday with what appeared to be a handwritten vow book and a pale blue garment bag.
An insider simply said:
“If they haven’t said ‘I do’ already, they’re about to. And they’re doing it exactly the way they’ve always wanted — quietly, soulfully, and without asking anyone’s permission.”
