Residents of a quiet suburban block are still shaken after recounting the final moments they saw Melanie Buzzard, the mother who disappeared alongside her daughter, Melodee, nearly two weeks ago.
According to multiple neighbors, Melanie appeared at the front gate of her home shortly after 10 p.m. — barefoot, pale, and visibly distraught. She stood motionless for nearly a minute before speaking.
“It was the way she looked at us,” one neighbor said. “Like she wanted to say something but couldn’t.”
Moments later, witnesses say she uttered three short words that none of them have been able to forget since. Police have declined to reveal the exact phrase but confirmed it was repeated in each neighbor’s account.
