In a chilling revelation that’s only now coming to light, authorities have confirmed the existence of a 13-minute aerial surveillance video — never released to the public — that shows sustained, unexplained movement in dense brush just 300 meters from Camp Mystic, the epicenter of the Texas flood tragedy.
The footage, captured by a state police helicopter equipped with infrared thermal imaging, was taken five days into the search for the 27 missing girls, but was withheld during the initial stages of the investigation.
According to sources inside the Texas Department of Public Safety, the footage shows:
-
Repeated shifting heat signatures resembling human-sized forms, crawling or crouching
-
One distinct image of a figure signaling upward with both arms
-
And a strange “drag trail” leading deeper into the woods, toward a previously unsearched ravine
But it wasn’t until last night — after growing internal pressure — that the footage was reviewed in full by a new task force.
This morning, 10 highly-trained K9 units were deployed to the precise coordinates shown in the video.
What they found has stunned the nation.
Beneath layers of pine and flood debris, dogs alerted simultaneously at three separate sites. Digging revealed shallow ground disturbances, where police recovered:
-
Fragments of girls’ uniforms, partially shredded
-
Camp wristbands that matched the missing children's registration numbers
-
And, most disturbingly, a bundle of items wrapped in plastic — including a flashlight, a journal page, and what investigators described as “an object believed to belong to more than one child.”
Authorities have not disclosed the nature of the object, but sources say it is now at the center of a rapidly expanding criminal investigation.
“This was 300 meters away,” said Lt. Dana Floyd. “Right under our noses. And something — or someone — didn’t want us looking here.”
As of now, 14 girls remain unaccounted for. But this latest discovery is being treated as a breakthrough lead — and raises renewed questions about whether human interference played a role in the girls' disappearance and concealment.
Public pressure is mounting to release the full 13-minute video, which officials say is currently “under forensic review for security clearance.”
