CBC family-based comedy drama Heartland has kept viewers enthralled with the life and times of the Fleming sisters and their families since it debuted in 2007, and the adventures continued in Heartland season 18. When the Canadian show Heartland arrived on Netflix it reached an even wider audience, meaning that anticipation for the next chapter of Amy and Lou’s joys and tribulations while running the Heartland ranch couldn’t have been higher. The show was initially based on the book series of the same name by Lauren Brooke, but has long since gone in its own direction. The cast of Heartland season 18 didn't change much from previous installments, and there was little doubt that many familiar faces would be returning. Since Heartland has followed the Fleming sisters since the very beginning, Amber Marshall returned to reprise her role as Amy with Michelle Morgan returning as Lou as well. Ruby & Emanuella Spencer split duties as Lyndy, and Nathan Pryce Jr. was once again played by Spencer Lord.
