Milly Alcock’s newest Netflix venture has been a fair hit for the streamer, even topping the platform's charts until Matthew Goode‘s Dept. Q overtook within the past week. In that time, it seems fan reaction to the series following an explosive finale has been mixed. Since Collider last reported, Sirens has officially dropped in its audience reception on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, now teetering finely on the edge of a “rotten” score with just 60%.

House of the Dragon star Alcock is used to impressive Rotten Tomatoes scores, with Season 1 of the Game of Thrones prequel earning 90% from critics and 82% from audiences on the site. Elsewhere in her small-screen career, 2020's The Gloaming earned a huge 90% from critics juxtaposed by a poor 44% from audiences, and her 2018 series Pine Gap received a 52% audience score with no critics' rating yet recorded. Alcock will be hoping for a change in fortune come her biggest role yet in 2026, with her DCU debut in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow as Kara Zor-El, taking over the role from The Flash’s Sasha Calle.

Penned by Ana NogueiraI, Tonya and Cruella‘s Craig Gillespie is on board to direct Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which sees Alcock joined in a stacked cast by Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, Jason Momoa as the alien mercenary and bounty hunter Lobo, Eve Ridley, David KrumholtzEmily Beecham, and Alice Hewkin. Despite plenty more updates still to come on the big-budget movie, we do already know that Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow will fly into theaters on June 26, 2026.

‘Sirens' Received Its Fair Share of Critical Praise

Although Sirens‘ audience score on Rotten Tomatoes continues to drop, that doesn't mean the series is unworthy of high praise. From the immersive performances of Meghann Fahy, Alcock, and veteran Julianne Moore to a remarkably neat twisting tale, Sirens has plenty to keep audiences entertained, something reflected in Therese Lacson‘s review of the series for Collider. Awarding the show a strong 7/10, Lacson wrote that, “Ultimately, there's a lot of potential in Sirens.” She continued, “There are comedic moments that made me laugh out loud, scenes that really made me think and question a woman's place in society, and instances when you can see just how intricate Metzler's work on this story is.” She then concluded, “However, given its small episode count, the series never gets to spread its wings wide enough to soar to greater heights.”

Sirens is available to stream now on Netflix.
