‘I only ask God to please bring her back home': Search underway after CLEAR Alert issued for missing San Antonio teen

Camila's mother, Rosario, is asking for prayers from the community to help bring her daughter home.

SAN ANTONIO — Authorities have issued a CLEAR Alert for a 19-year-old woman last seen early Christmas Eve outside her home in northwest Bexar County.

Camila Mendoza Olmos was captured on a neighbor’s surveillance video shortly before 7 a.m. Wednesday, in the 11000 block of Caspian Spring.Texas 19-year-old Camila Mendoza Olmos vanishes outside her home on Christmas Eve

The video shows Olmos standing near her vehicle while the lights on, but it does not show where she went afterward.

Her mother, Rosario Olmos, said she and her daughter were sleeping together that morning when she felt Camila get up.

About an hour and a half later, Rosario said she woke up and could not find her daughter, though Camila’s car was still at the house.

“I called her cell phone, but the cell phone was there on the bed and it was turned off,” Rosario Olmos said. “I put it to charge and went out to look for her. I thought I would find her like other times, walking, and we would come home together.”

After checking with her boyfriend and Camila's father and learning neither had seen her, Rosario contacted the sheriff’s office to report her missing.

Family and friends spent Christmas Day searching areas near the home but have found no sign of her, Rosario Olmos said. She added that it is not normal for her daughter to disappear and that she usually knows where Camila is.

“I only ask God to please bring her back home,” she said. “Bring her back to me.”

Rosario is also asking the community for prayers, “Pray, pray, pray and ask from the heart, to God and the angles, and the Virgin Mary, whoever you believe in to please from my daughter to return,” Rosario Olmos said.

Authorities urge anyone with information about Camila's whereabouts to contact the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office  at (210)335-6000; you may also contact the BCSO Missing Persons Unit via [email protected].
