In a case already marked by eerie coincidences and heartbreaking discoveries, a new lead has emerged from the unlikeliest of sources — a mother’s dream.

Late Sunday night, Isabel Rojas, the mother of 10-year-old Ana Rojas, one of the 27 girls missing after floods devastated Camp Mystic, Texas, told police she awoke from a vivid dream in which her daughter appeared crying, barefoot, and pointing toward a small white church surrounded by tall weeds.

“She just kept saying, ‘I’m behind the church, Mama… not far,’” Isabel recalled. “I couldn’t shake it. I felt like she was trying to tell me something.”

There was a white wooden chapel just 500 yards from Camp Mystic — long-abandoned, boarded up, and overlooked by search teams focused on flood zones further out. Still, driven by the mother’s certainty, a small unit accompanied Isabel to the site.

What they found behind the building sent chills through the team.

Tucked behind a collapsed shed, partially obscured by brush and water damage, was a narrow storm drain entrance, previously unnoticed. The metal grate had been broken from the inside.

Inside the damp tunnel — about 40 feet in — searchers discovered children’s shoes, a name-tagged camp sweater, and what police described as “clear signs that at least one child had been there recently.”

Even more startling: etched into the concrete wall in faint red marker were the words:
“I’m trying to find the others. Please come soon.”

Investigators now believe this site may have served as a temporary hiding place for some of the girls during the chaos of the flood — or could be connected to one of several underground storm pathways being explored by federal agents.

“We never would’ve searched here without the mother’s input,” said Lt. Damon Fields of the Texas Disaster Response Unit. “This was a moment of instinct that may unlock everything.”

Canine teams and underground drone cameras are now being used to map the rest of the tunnel system beneath the area.

The emotional impact on the Rojas family — and the other waiting parents — has been profound. Isabel, through tears, said only this:
“I know she’s close. She’s still trying to be found.”

As of now, 14 girls remain unaccounted for. But this discovery, born from a mother’s dream and relentless hope, may finally be the key to unraveling the mystery that has gripped the nation.
