Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo — the Made in Chelsea sweethearts turned podcast power couple — have finally shared the news fans have been waiting for: the gender of their first child.
In a charming reveal shared across their social media platforms on Thursday morning, the couple posted a short, joy-filled video from a private family gathering. Surrounded by a sea of pink and blue balloons, the moment of truth came as Sophie popped a confetti cannon — and pink fluttered through the air.
“It’s a girl!” the couple shouted in unison, both visibly emotional as family and friends cheered around them.
The reveal follows weeks of speculation, after the couple announced their pregnancy earlier this year with a behind-the-scenes baby scan video that quickly went viral. Fans had eagerly awaited further details, especially after Jamie hinted on their NewlyWeds podcast that “big news” was on the way.
Though the podcast is currently on pause as the pair prepares for parenthood, Jamie and Sophie have promised fans more glimpses into their journey — with a possible rebrand to NearlyParents in the works.
In typical Laing-Habboo fashion, the announcement was equal parts heartfelt and hilarious. Jamie jokingly added in the video caption:
“Please pray she doesn’t get my dancing skills…”
The couple, who tied the knot in 2023, have spoken openly about their hopes for a family and the challenges of balancing fame with privacy. But this latest reveal shows they’re ready — and thrilled — for the next chapter.
Congratulations to the growing Laing-Habboo household. A little girl is on the way — and judging by her parents, she’s already destined to be fabulous.
