UNSENT 9-WORD MESSAGE: Police investigating the death of actor Pierre Deny have reportedly recovered his personal phone and discovered a heartbreaking unsent message that may reveal the tragic reality of his final moments.
According to sources close to the investigation, the draft message was found shortly after authorities examined the actor’s device following his death. Detectives say the message appeared to have been written only hours before he passed away but was never sent.
The chilling nine-word text reportedly read:
“I can barely breathe now, this illness is destroying me.”
Investigators believe the message was intended for a woman believed to be one of the actor’s closest companions during his private battle with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Medical officials have since confirmed that complications linked to ALS were responsible for the beloved actor’s death. The progressive neurological disease gradually attacks nerve cells controlling movement, speech, and breathing, often leaving patients physically trapped inside weakening bodies.
Sources say Pierre Deny had spent months hiding the full extent of his deteriorating condition from much of the public, with only close family members and a few trusted friends aware of how serious the illness had become.
The discovery of the unsent message has deeply shocked fans across France and around the world, many of whom described the words as “absolutely heartbreaking.”
One supporter wrote online:
“You can feel the pain in every word.”
Another added:
“He was suffering quietly while still trying to stay strong for everyone.”
Friends close to the actor reportedly told investigators that Deny’s breathing had become increasingly difficult in recent weeks, especially during the final days before his death. Despite this, he allegedly refused to let his condition define him and continued communicating with loved ones as long as he physically could.
Pierre Deny, known internationally for his role in Emily in Paris and widely respected throughout French television, passed away surrounded by family after a long private fight against the disease.
Following the release of the information, tributes from fellow actors, directors, and fans have continued flooding social media, remembering Deny not only as a talented performer but also as a deeply courageous man who fought until the very end.
Authorities stated there is no suspicion of foul play and that the investigation surrounding his death has now been formally closed.
