FINGERPRINT RESULTS ANNOUNCED
Police have officially released the fingerprint analysis results connected to evidence recovered from the security camera system at Nancy Guthrie’s residence, marking another major development in the investigation.
According to authorities, forensic specialists identified prints consistent with the primary suspect, confirming earlier assumptions about his presence near key areas of the property. However, investigators also revealed a critical new detail:
Additional fingerprints belonging to another individual were discovered.
Officials have not publicly named the person linked to the newly identified prints, citing legal and investigative considerations. Police emphasized that the presence of fingerprints alone does not imply criminal involvement, but acknowledged the finding has expanded the scope of the inquiry.
“This discovery requires careful evaluation,” a police spokesperson stated. “We are working to determine the context, timing, and relevance of these prints.”
Investigators confirmed that detectives are now examining how and when the second set of fingerprints may have been left, as well as whether the individual had legitimate access to the property.
Sources familiar with the case indicate that the newly identified prints belong to someone previously mentioned during the investigation, though authorities declined to clarify the nature of that connection.
The fingerprint results are being analyzed alongside other forensic evidence, including surveillance footage, digital records, and witness statements.
Police stressed that the investigation remains active and urged the public to avoid speculation.
“Forensic evidence is only one part of the picture,” the spokesperson added. “Every finding must be interpreted within the full body of facts.”
The Guthrie family has been informed of the update. No public statement has been issued at this time.
Further developments are expected as investigators continue their analysis.
